Talent Match is a Lottery funded program that has been established to work with young people in Lincoln, Boston, Gainsborough and Skegness with the aim of supporting and guiding them with their employability needs, training and skills, and helping them move closer to or into employment.
Part of this programme is the Talent Match Youth Network which is looking to recruit young people (18 – 24) to help establish and develop Talent Match, and identify and promote new and existing positive activities within your area. The TMYN covers the whole of Greater Lincolnshire but will have satellite hubs in Lincoln, Boston, Gainsborough and Skegness.
The role of TMYN members will be to work with local Talent Match Youth Advocates, informing them of required activities and services young people need in their area.
TMYN members will get the opportunity to:
· Assess and promote services and activities in their area
· Research and develop new positive activities in their area
· Feedback and be part of a commissioning process to “buy in” positive activities in their area
The project is looking for 10 young people within each area to nominate themselves for roles within the TMYN so that they can proudly state that “young people are being listened to in Greater Lincolnshire” and that they “DO have a say on what happens in their town”.
