The new Living Wage rate was announced on 31st October 2016 by the Living Wage Foundation.
The new rate of £8.45 per hour (outside of London) is an increase on 20 pence on the previous rate. The new rate will be introduced in Lincoln in early to mid 2017.
The Lincoln Living Wage Forum are meeting today (1st November) to discuss this new rate, and to create a plan to take the campaign forward in the city.
Currently there are 28 organisations on the Lincoln Living Wage register. Since the start of the campaign in 2015, 194 employees have received a direct pay rise as a result of the Living Wage.
