To celebrate World Hello Day 2017, Compassionate Lincoln hope you will be able to join them for an evening of good food, conversation and live music. World Hello Day began as a response to the conflict between Egypt and Israel in the Fall of 1973. Since then, World Hello Day has been observed by people in 180 countries, and this will be Compassionate Lincoln’s third celebration of the day – a chance to recognise the importance of personal communication for preserving peace and cohesion in our community.
With community spirit at the heart of this event, Compassionate Lincoln are asking guests to bring with them either a dish to share for supper or contributions to the SHNUG appeal – Socks, Hats, Neckwarmers, Underwear, Gloves – which shall be distributed to homeless people in the city and also in Calais for refugees who are currently living there in appalling conditions.
Compassionate Lincoln can promise you a bar, live music, great chat and the chance to meet new people from across the city.
Compassionate Lincoln hope you can come, and please feel free to extend this invitation to others you think may be interested!
The event will take place on Wednesday 22nd November, 7pm-10pm at The Blue Room, Union Road, Lincoln, LN1 3BU.
