Can you help Lincoln’s Food Banks?

Posted on 13th June, 2017 by Lincoln Against Poverty

Lincoln’s food banks and community larders are quickly running out of food and desperately need your help.

Food banks and community larders across the city will greatly receive any food as long as it is packaged in ‘as new’ condition and it is within its best before date. The items listed below are needed urgently:

  • Tinned Fruit
  • Rice pudding
  • Tinned Meats (stews, meatballs, curries etc)
  • Tinned Tomatoes
  • Tinned Peas
  • Tinned Carrots
  • Tinned Sweetcorn
  • Tinned Hot dogs
  • Tinned Tuna
  • Jam
  • Weetabix or own brand equivalent
  • Other breakfast cereals
  • Semi skimmed UHT milk
  • Small jars of coffee
  • 250g packs of granulated sugar
  • Biscuits
  • Pasta sauces
  • Baby food
  • Women’s sanitary products
  • Toiletries, but not nappies

It is very easy to donate. You can either drop food off at one of your local food banks or community larders on the day and times they are open. You can also drop off a food parcel at Voluntary Centre Services in The Network office at City Hall at any time.
